Full Day or half-day fishing remains an embarrassment of choice for enthusiasts of the sector, departing from the hotel or transferring to the nautical bases.

For hand line fishing, days can be organized from the fishing centers all along the coastal regions

Small trolling is practiced all year round, close to the coast and does not require powerful boats.

Various fresh baits will be made available: shrimp, mullet, crickets...

Bait fish can be caught with a hand line on the same fishing grounds and kept alive (Elops, Drépanes africana, Sardinella, etc…)

The Atlantic Ocean, at the latitude of Senegal, is among the most fish-rich in the world, and is particularly favorable for fishing. The waters of Senegal are warm and among the most full of fish in the world. The Gulf Stream brings in fact a great diversity of sport fishing fish: dolphin fish, red carp, sailfish swordfish, blue marlins, tuna … the fishing techniques used are according to the species with the longline, trolling, launching … Each boat is operated by a captain, you are assisted by a second person for the fishing party and all the necessary equipment is provided to you. In Dakar, shore casting from the rocky areas of the Cape Verde Peninsula allows you to bring back, depending on the season fishes as, speckled bass, badeches, bonito, jacks, lich, barracudas ...

The surf "casting" on the large beaches of Dakar in Saint-Louis, Saly, Sangomar and Cap Skirring in the extreme South, will put the fisherman in contact with croaker, captains, rays, sharks, ...

In the mangrove estuaries of Sine-Saloum, in the south of Senegal, picking oysters from the roots of mangroves is a well-known activity.

In this region where the borders are made of fresh water and sea water, the immense delta of the Casamance River deploys its bolongs over several tens of kilometers inland, we will have at the end of the line barracudas , trevally, captains, ombrines, ...

By boat, by trolling, from May to November, we can taste the joys of sport fishing of the "big one" with acrobatic sailfish swordfish, terrible blue marlins, wahoos, amberjacks, dorades, dolphinfish and almost all species.
