Hiking ATV Tour

By Quad or Buggy

After breakfast, we will leave the hotel for our ride in (ATV): Quad or Buggy.

Supervised by experienced instructors, we will take the best routes for an off-the-beaten-path discovery of Senegal.

Through the surrounding nature, between baobab forests and giant termite mounds, we will stop in villages to observe rural life.

Typical hikes through the tracks of the bush, to discover the great natural spaces, or ecological escapades combining solidarity contacts with the locals.

We will be invited to participate in certain daily tasks, namely the pounding of millet for the preparation of couscous, drawing water from the well, visiting a bush school, or just learning a few dance steps during the little party. welcome in your honor.

We will leave these moments of conviviality, and choose in options: The direction of the Somone nature reserve or the exotic bird aviary of Nguérigne.

The Somone Delta originates in the Ndiass massif, near Thiès, and descends towards the Atlantic Ocean.

This lagoon is a protected area of 700 hectares, and is a small paradise for bird lovers, around a hundred species are listed there.

This extremely rich but very fragile ecosystem develops at the junction of fresh water from rivers and salt water from the ocean.

In a catamaran we will meet this shore fauna composed of pelicans, egrets, cormorants, spoonbills, herons, flamingos etc ...

The second option of our trip will be a trip to the heart of an aviary of exotic birds and its botanical garden.

Our visit will be with a guide of the site, who tames macaws, cockatoos, parrots and other exotic birds of all origins and all colors, some in freedom, others in cages and some animals such as monkeys, turtles, python etc ...

Today, the Park has more than 150 species of parrots from all continents, making it the most varied in West Africa.
